Department of Surgery at CLAPP Hospital provides comprehensive, integrated and coordinated services to needy patients. We have so far operated more than 43,000 Cleft Lip & Palate patients in Pakistan & Afghanistan.
It is headed by Dr. Ghulam Qadir Fayyaz, who is an internationally renowned Surgeon in the field of Cleft Lip & Palate, his research papers have been published in many International well reputed journals and have won international awards. The surgery team has five more surgeons to help thousands of cleft patients in Pakistan as well as in Afghanistan. All these surgeons were trained by Prof. Fayyaz
All cases are examined in detail and plans are shared by team members in case there is a difficult or a complicated patient.
We have quite diverse population of patients starting from newborn to adults and even old age. We have primary to secondary to crippled cleft patients. Our team members can appreciate, realize and develop a practical plan to manage all the problems associated in difficult & complicated cleft lip & palate patients we do prioritize the treatment plan for individual patient’s needs. Treatment strategy is tailored to help each and every patient.
Team based approach
Plastic Surgeon, Cranio-facial orthodontist, Audiologist & Speech pathologist share the findings with each other to develop a comprehensive plan of management. In craniofacial anomalies, the situation is more complex, demands proper diagnosis and a well supervised plan of management to reconstruct the deficient parts.
